adjusting a stock/adding stock to the existing inventory

while adjusting the stock i.e. adding the stock to the already created item there should be a option for adding the purchase price price for the newly added stock . so that the purchase price becomes the average of the past and new stock ,from that effective net profit on the sale can be calculated.
